Terms and Conditions
Effective date: 23 October 2026
Please read these Terms carefully before using datungapply.com or applying for a loan. They explain how the application process works, what we ask of you, and what you can expect from us.
1. Who We Are and These Terms
datungapply.com (the "Platform") is operated by Dark Knight Lending, Inc., doing business as Datung ("Datung," "we," "us," or "our"), a lending company registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission under SEC Company Registration No. 2024070157507-01 and holding Certificate of Authority No. 3506. Our office is at Unit 10-01, One Global Place, 25th St. cor. 5th Ave., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. Datung offers microloans, salary loans, non-collateralized SME loans, and collateralized loans.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply when you visit the Platform, submit a loan application, upload documents, or otherwise use our online services. By using the Platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
These Terms cover your use of the Platform and the application process. If your loan is approved, the loan itself is governed by the loan agreement and disclosure statement you sign with us (see Section 6).
2. Eligibility
To apply through the Platform, you must:
- be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract;
- apply for a loan of ₱50,000 to ₱10,000,000, with a term of 3 to 12 months; and
- be able to fully repay the loan before your 65th birthday.
Meeting these requirements does not mean an application will be approved.
3. Your Application
You apply by completing our online Loan Application Form. No account or password is needed: we email a secure link to the address you provide so you can confirm your application and continue to the document checklist.
- Accuracy. You must give complete, true, and current information. Submitting false or misleading information may result in your application being declined or, if a loan has been granted, in the loan being recalled, and may be reported to the proper authorities.
- Information about other people. When you list personal references, an emergency contact, or family members, you confirm that you have told them you are sharing their details with us and why.
- Declaration and verification. When you submit your application you agree to the declaration and authority of undertaking set out in the form, including our verification of your information, credit investigation, and inspection of your residence and place of business by our authorized representatives.
- Electronic signature. You agree that typing your full name in the application form is your electronic signature and has the same effect as a handwritten signature, under the Electronic Commerce Act of 2000 (Republic Act No. 8792).
4. Documents You Upload
Every application requires two valid government-issued IDs, your latest three months of bank statements, the Loan Application Form (generated automatically from your answers), and a proof of billing for your business address not older than three months. You may also upload optional documents that support your application.
You confirm that every document you upload is genuine, unaltered, and either belongs to you or is one you are authorized to share. We may verify documents with their issuers or other sources, and we may ask you for additional documents. Uploading altered or fraudulent documents may result in your application being declined and reported to the proper authorities.
5. No Commitment to Lend
Submitting an application, uploading documents, or receiving an email from us does not mean your loan has been approved. Every application is reviewed by Datung, which may include a credit investigation and a visit to your business. We may approve your application, approve it on different terms (for example, a different amount or term), ask for more information, or decline it. Approval decisions are made by Datung alone.
6. Loan Terms, Interest, and Charges
Nothing on the Platform is an offer to lend. If your application is approved, we will give you a disclosure statement, as required by the Truth in Lending Act (Republic Act No. 3765), showing the full amount financed, the interest rate, all charges, and your repayment schedule, before you sign. Your loan is governed by the loan agreement and disclosure statement you sign. If anything on the Platform differs from those documents, the signed documents prevail.
You may tell us your preferred repayment schedule (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). The schedule that applies is the one in your signed loan documents.
7. Communications
You agree that we may contact you by email, SMS, phone, or messaging apps about your application and any loan, including confirmations, document requests, status updates, and reminders. Sign-in links we email you are personal, expire after a short time, and can be used only once; do not forward them. If you receive a link you did not request, you can ignore it.
8. Community Heroes
Community Heroes are Datung's referral partners. A Community Hero may introduce you to Datung, but cannot approve a loan or change its terms; all decisions are made by Datung. Community Heroes take part in the program under separate terms agreed with Datung.
9. Acceptable Use
When using the Platform you must not:
- apply in another person's name or use another person's information or documents without authority;
- attempt to access accounts, applications, or data that are not yours;
- interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to bypass the security of the Platform;
- use automated tools to submit applications or collect data from the Platform; or
- use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend access or decline applications where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.
10. Privacy
We process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). The Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have.
11. The Platform and Our Liability
The Platform, its content, and the Datung name and logo belong to Datung or its licensors. You may use the Platform only for its intended purpose of learning about and applying for our loans.
We work to keep the Platform available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the Financial Products and Services Consumer Protection Act (Republic Act No. 11765) or other laws that cannot be excluded by agreement.
12. Questions and Complaints
If you have a question or complaint about the Platform, your application, or your loan, please contact us using the details in Section 15. We will acknowledge your concern and work to resolve it promptly.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may bring your concern to the Securities and Exchange Commission, which supervises lending companies, or, for privacy matters, the National Privacy Commission.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be brought before the proper courts of Taguig City, to the exclusion of other venues, unless the law provides otherwise.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a revised effective date. Changes apply from the date they are posted, and do not affect applications already submitted or loan documents already signed.
